PE and Sports Premium

At Hugh Myddelton, we recognise the contribution of PE and sport to the health and wellbeing of our pupils. We believe that an innovative, varied PE curriculum and extra-curricular opportunities have a positive influence on the concentration, attitude and academic achievement of all our children.

Our Primary Sport Premium enables us to continually develop and extend our provision through employing additional sports professionals, entering into more competitive sports competitions and training our staff to deliver and sustain quality, in-house PE sessions.

In 2024-25 we spent the PE and School Sport money to meet the following objectives:

  • Continue to develop range of extracurricular provision.
  • Continue sports competitions participation.
  • Continue to increase pupils' engagement in a wider variety of PE activities and sports.
  • Invest in gymnastics and dance teaching resources, to enhance teaching of gymnastics and dance in the curriculum.

The Sports Premium Grant expediture form for 2025 details on how we have used its PE and Sport Premium and the impact it has had on achieving the aims and objectives of the funding. You can view the schools grant expenditure in the linked documents below.

The information gathered includes:
