How can we help at Winton?

See what’s out there! Go and visit the schools and see if they fit your child and their needs.

Read through the brochure and arrange to visit as many schools as you can. Check the dates for ‘open days’ for the schools you are interested in.

Ask if you need help – we are happy to help you!

If you would like to talk about your child’s secondary school feel free to make an appointment with Claire Brown.

PUPILS WITH SPECIAL EDUCATIONAL NEEDS AND DISABILITIES?

Parents who have a child with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) should apply for schools in the same as other parents and addition to this, the special educational needs department at the local authority who issued your child’s plan, will contact you about your choices for your child. The ‘Annual Review’ for pupils with an EHCP, will also be used to discuss secondary school placements for pupils with special educational needs.
